This might seem to be a strange way to start my blog but not for me. You see my baby sister Liz has just been given a role in the upcoming New Broadway Show Billy Elliot. Of course I taught her everything she knows! No really she is very talented and very well trained. A graduate of CCM College Conservatory of Music at Cincinnati University. She grew up both in England and Florida leaving England when she was about 14yrs and finished High School at Douglas Anderson School of The Arts right here in Jacksonville Florida.

Congratulations Katie! I know how proud you are of your sister. I am looking forward to your new upcoming “role” in school too. You will be able to pull from the same sources that you taught your sister.
Looking forward to seeing you “perform”. It will be great.
By the way, you already earned your first Award.

Wow, what a great first post for me to come over hear and read. I am an avid amateur theatrical performer, and am very jealous now – not only of your sister, but think of all the access to broadway shows you might have now!
Backstage passes, cheap tickets…… I’m green here!
Congratulations to your sister – tell her Break a leg’ from an aussie well wisher.

G’day Katie,
Theatre is a great way to begin your blog. All teachers are really performers in their classrooms but only some go onto greatness on the real stage. My nephew in Grade 12 has been in productions since about 10 years old and would love to go onto a school of the arts here in Australia next year. He is currently playing the lead male role in “Sweet Charity” at his college.
